What is your triathlon background:
I decided I wanted to do an Ironman because I heard people talking about it. I couldn’t swim at all, and hadn’t been on a road bike for many years. My favorite thing is running. I’ve done over 45 marathons, about 25-50kms, and I think 7-50 mile runs.

Do you have a favorite race distance?
My all-time favorite running distance is the 50k. For triathlons, probably the half ironman.

What are your goals for 2014?
I really would like to do the open water swim series in the twin cities this summer, so I wanted to swim with the BB club. I have a few marathons planned, and I plan on doing the Door County Fall 50 mile run. So I might do a sprint tri or two.
