How long have you been doing triathlons?
Since the summer of 2010How long have you been a Bluff Buster?
What is your triathlon background?
What is your favorite race distance?
For
me the 1/2 iron distance is my favorite because the training for a HIM
requires a lot of dedication to training in order to successfully
perform. Given my lifestyle as a student who works full time, time is
hard to come by. However, there's nothing I love more than balancing my
time between my passions in life.
What are your triathlon goals for 2014?
I'm
excited to beat my personal best from previous years. I will be
returning to San Fran for a second time to compete in Escape from
Alcatraz Triathlon as well as competing in a few longer distance races
in the midwest. For as much as the sport and members within the TRI
community have given me, another goal I have is to take the opportunity
to volunteer & give back to the sport.
What is an interesting fact about you?
What is an interesting fact about you?
Despite
the fact that I drowned at a YMCA pool when I was 4 (no fault to the
facility- I was a devious child who thought I could swim on my own when
my instructor wasn't looking), I overcame my fear of the water and
swimming remains my strongest of the 3 sports today.
What is your favorite song or album to workout to?
What motivates you?
Ultimately my
desire to continuously improve my performance. I also have a lot of
people in my life who motivate me to want more, and be better than my
last training session/race. I'm immensely grateful for the support in my
life. I also get fired up reading about the personal training/racing experiences of the pro triathletes.
